Runway Backstage — Nerves, Sparkle and Growth
Behind the glamour, there’s
sweat and courage
Many people see the glamour of walking the runway — the beautiful clothes, the bright lights, the cheers from the audience. But few know the stories behind it.
Every show, I get up early to do makeup and hair. The makeup artist brushes my face carefully, the stylist adjusts my clothes repeatedly, and I stand in front of the mirror, practicing my steps and expressions. My hands are often cold with nervousness, and my feet hurt from wearing high heels for a long time. But when the music starts, all the nervousness disappears — I step on the runway, hold my head high, and show the best version of myself.
The runway teaches me confidence. It tells me that beauty is not about being perfect, but about being brave enough to show yourself. Every time I walk down the runway, I feel one step closer to growing up — I learn to face pressure, to accept compliments, and to keep improving.
This is the charm of the runway: it’s not just ashow, but a journey of finding yourself.
